Explorer Groups Guide
Bundle explorers, send them out together and keep an eye on the costs: everything about groups in the Tavern.
Explorer groups let you combine several explorers into one team. You send all members of a group on the same search together via the star menu with just a few clicks, instead of dispatching each explorer individually. Groups can be renamed, and each explorer can only ever be in one group.
Groups are created and managed in the Tavern. Since 30 Sep 2026 the Tavern has a second upgrade level that unlocks this feature.
From player level 34, the quest chain “A Breath of Fresh Air in the Tavern” unlocks Tavern level 2 and with it explorer groups. The final reward is 1× Mysterious Adventure Box and 50 XP.

The upgrade of the Tavern to level 2 itself is free and takes 2 hours.
The first group is free. Every further group costs either coins or gems. You can create up to 15 groups with 20 explorers each.
The buff "Increases the size of explorer groups by 5" is available 3× at the merchant. Each purchase permanently enlarges all existing and future groups by 5 slots. With all three purchases a group holds 35 explorers; in total up to 525 explorers can be in groups.

- You can still send explorers of a group out individually. However, this blocks sending and editing the whole group.
- A group can only be edited or sent when all members are idle.
- If the members have different speeds, the group can only be sent again once all of them have finished. The slowest one therefore sets the pace.
- So group explorers with identical task speed together.
